Parting words from our beloved Rabbi Ian Silverman

I wish to thank the "Tribute to Rabbi Ian" committee and the entire congregation for the tremendous send off brunch, which truly knocked my socks off. Words fail to fully describe the joy, contentment, pride and love I felt (in the presence of all my loved ones) in all the elements of the gala. The choir, the Men's Club, the B'nai Mitzvah, the band...oy, I'll start singing "Shul Business" again! Truly everything in it was perfect and beautiful. Rabbis are few and rare whose congregations have so deeply and collectively embraced them. I consider myself a very fortunate rabbi. Thank you for all of your efforts. Thank you for your beautiful kudos. Thank you for your loving words to Beth and me as we sat by the dance floor. Thank you for the beautiful gifts bestowed upon me and the precious cards sent. You have given me a tribute that Beth and I will remember for the rest of our lives. I will miss this beloved congregation. My prayer and hope is that under Hazzan Walvick's leadership, it will go from strong to stronger and that ENJC has its best years ahead.
With fondness and love,
Rabbi and Beth
