Long Island Interfaith Colation Against Hate
requests your attendance at
The 9/11 We Stand United in Love Memorial
Chapin Rainbow Stage, Heckscher Park, Huntington, NY
Increasingly concerned about the rise of hate groups across the country, in New York, and here on Long Island, local faith leaders and community members have formed to help unite the community against hate. All religions teach us to respect our fellow man; to treat one another as we would like to be treated ourselves; to love they neighbor. We must all stand together in condemning events like we saw happen in Charlottesville. We must similarly condemn the appearance of graffiti with racial slurs and swastikas that have appeared in our own communities. When one of us is attacked, we are all attacked. We are brothers and sisters; we are all neighbors, and we are all Americans.
On September 11, 2001 we experienced unspeakable tragedy and loss, because of our American values of freedom, liberty and justice for all. We must remember those values as we stand united as one nation in confronting hate that divide our American community.
This event is Open to All!
